Bad Conformation Treatment for Quartercrack Injuries

Notice the conformation in this photo, the leg is offset to the outside right of the Hoof. This can produce enormous pressure on the outside Quarter.

Sure enough this Hoof has a Quartercrack on the outside of the right Hoof wall. Look at the half moon effect at the Coronary Band, this is created by the abnormal amount of pressure this sidewall is subject to because of the conformation.

The text indicates the Hoof wall is separating to relieve the extreme pressure being delivered over this section of the Hoof wall.

After proper preparation to the inside of this Hoof, the "Millennium Patch" application technique was applied and this horse was placed back into the excitement and raced the same night.
